(Final report of 2013)
(Prague, March 25, 2014) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority has been involved in the European system facilitating rapid exchange of information about dangerous products RAPEX (Rapid Alert System) since the Czech Republic joined the European Union. And there has a national contact point for non-food products at the Ministry of Industry and Trade. In 2013, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority contributed to notification of dangerous products in compliance with the General Product Safety Directive by submitting 28 notifications and 10 INFO notifications. Notifications concerned 16 toys, 4 types of light chains, and 3 types of electronic products. The Czech Trade Inspection Authority received 1,468 notifications in 2013. Inspectors detected a total of 11 types of products notified in the RAPEX system in the period from 2011 to 2013.
