(Prague, May 16, 2013) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority supervises the safety of play elements and landing surfaces, especially those that were newly put into operation. “The major goal of the surveillance is to minimize the hazard of accidents that could lead to injuries of the smallest users or even fatal consequences,” the Director General of the Czech Trade Inspection Authority Vladimír Velčovský explained. “Last year, totally 424 play elements at 105 operators, 12 manufacturers and 1 importer of children playgrounds were checked. I appreciate that the operators removed most of the detected defects immediately. We saw very good results of our inspection and preventive actions especially at municipality authorities and kindergartens. Therefore we will continue in them,” Vladimír Velčovský added.
