(Prague, December 20, 2018) In the third quarter of 2018, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority carried out in total 379 inspections within which it also aimed at the offer and sale of products infringing certain intellectual property rights. It detected 8,849 items of counterfeits amounting to CZK 28,292,731, as calculated in the value of originals. In comparison with the previous quarter, there was an increase and also the number of collected counterfeits increased. The trademarks Tommy Hilfiger and Louis Vuitton were most frequently counterfeited in the area of footwear and textile products.
