(Report on results of extraordinary inspection action)
(Brno, September 15, 2015) Inspectors of the Czech Trade Inspection Authority increased their attention concerning inspection of counterfeits at the ASIA BAZAR marketplace at Hatě near Znojmo on September 11 and 12. Counterfeited goods were collected and vendors will be fined in administrative proceedings concerning prohibited use of unfair commercial practices. In total 4,160 pieces of counterfeits of textile clothing, footwear, leather goods and toys amounting to more than 45 million CZK calculated in the prices of originals were collected in 34 selected stalls. “Perfect preparation of this inspection action resulted in a real success. We managed to prevent early closure of selected selling points thanks to the presence of several inspectors before the arrival of the main inspection group. I suppose that the upcoming inspections aimed at counterfeits will be as effective due to their proper preparation,” said Karel Havlíček, the Director of the CTIA Inspectorate operating in the South Moravian and Zlín regions.
