(Monitoring of fuel quality in March 2016)
(Prague, April 22, 2016) During March 2016, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority collected 194 fuel samples at filling stations on the whole territory of the Czech Republic. Only 3 diesel fuel samples failed the quality requirements determined by the applicable technical standard. Two cases concerned so called negligence deviations resulting in lower flash point. The third case concerned serious violation of technological discipline resulting in a suspicion of unauthorized manipulation with the fuel. Prohibition of further sale and distribution was imposed on 10,159 litres of diesel amounting to CZK 256,017. All samples of other motor fuels met the quality requirements.
