Inspection of compliance with the fairness of sales in shops selling so-called “luxury cheeses”

(Ostrava, 13 December 2021) From 18 October to 30 November, employees of the Czech Trade Inspection Authority, Moravsko-slezský and Olomoucký Inspectorates, carried out an inspection of specialised shops selling cheese, cheese specialities and delicatessen products. "The aim of this action was to compare the results of the inspection with an inspection action focused on the same products that we carried out in 2014," said Boris Stabryn, director of the inspectorate. Out of 34 inspections, deficiencies were detected in 23 cases, i.e. in almost 68%. 15 fines were imposed for the detected breaches amounting to the total of CZK 24,000.
