(Prague, November 9, 2015) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority detected an electric light chain with a Santa Claus cover which is offered in the Czech market and poses serious risk of injury to consumers. The danger consists of possible release of its connecting wires from the control unit’s desktop and subsequent uncovering of living parts. Such contact would cause injury by electric current. Proportions of the two-pole power cord plug don’t comply with determined model. The light chain isn’t equipped with obligatory information which can lead to injuries in the consequence of incorrect way of use of this product. The Czech Trade Inspection Authority prohibited distribution of this dangerous chain and ordered its withdrawal from the market.
