(Prague, December 30, 2019) In the third quarter of 2019, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority inspected the offer, sale and storage of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products. It focused in particular on compliance with the Act No. 65/2017 Coll., on Health Protection from the Harmful Effects of Drugs and the Act No. 353/2003 Coll., on Excise Duties. Breaches of the Act on Health Protection from the Harmful Effects of Drugs were found in 198 cases, including 132 cases in which sellers breached the ban on the sale and serving of alcoholic beverages to persons under the age of 18.
