There were serious breaches of fuel quality

(Results of inspections of fuel quality in July 2013)

(Prague, September 3, 2013) Monitoring and inspection of fuels at filling stations continued in July. Out of the total number of 225 collected samples, 8 samples – i.e. 3.6% – failed the stipulated quality requirements. “The rate of noncompliant fuel samples is almost the same, but higher proportion of serious deviations from quality standards is disturbing and suggests potential manipulation with fuels or production defects. Significance of the breaches will be taken into account by inspectorates’ directors who will decide about fine amounts,” said Vladimír Velčovský, the Director General of the CTIA.
