Two fuel samples failed in January

(Monitoring of fuel quality in 2016)

(Prague, February 22, 2016)
In January, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority collected 221 fuel samples to inspection of quality at filling stations. Two samples failed the requirement of technical standards – one diesel sample didn’t reach the limit determined for flash point and an Ethanol E85 sample failed concerning vapour pressure. Sale of almost 8,200 litres of these poor quality fuels amounting to more than CZK 200,000 was prohibited by a CTIA measure. The total ratio of 0.9 % of poor quality samples belongs to the results with the last year’s lowest ratio of findings – which is a good news especially for motorists.
