(Prague, 7 May 2024) In 2023, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority focused on monitoring the compliance with Act No. 542/2020 Coll., on End-of-Life Products. It carried out a total of 1,398 inspections and found breaches of provisions of the End-of-Life Products Act in 640 cases. Most often, the final seller, distributor and manufacturer did not disclose the costs of the take-back, processing, recovery and disposal of waste electrical equipment separately from the price when selling new electrical equipment.
