CTIA prohibited the toy „Doll Carrier“

(Prague, June 26, 2020) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority keeps monitoring possible occurrence of dangerous toys in the internal market. This time it found that a toys was offered posing a safety risk to smallest children. This product’s name is „Doll Carrier“.

4 cases of discrimination detected in first quarter of 2020

(Prague, 30 June 2020) Manifestations of discriminatory conduct are an undesirable social phenomenon. The Czech Trade Inspection Authority focused on this area in the first quarter of 2020, inspecting whether there were any forms of discrimination against consumers from the side of sellers. In total, it carried out 164 inspections and found suspected discrimination in 4 cases. This is almost half less than in the same period last year.

CTIA still to provide personal advice in Jihlava

(Prague, 25 June 2020) Next week, the Inspectorate of South Bohemian and Vysočina Regions will move to a single seat in České Budějovice. The organisational change is made mainly due to the efficiency of the activities of the regional inspectorate of the CTIA. Consumers will still benefit from the possibility of personal advice from inspectors and inspection activities won‘t be restricted in any way.

Inspections of rope courses revealed certain misconducts

(Prague, 8 June 2020) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority also focuses on inspecting of amusement devices, such as playgrounds, fun fair rides and rope courses. During 2019, it targeted rope courses and carried out 26 inspections in this area. It found infringements in 6 cases. Based on this CTIA inspection, two operators suspended the activities of their rope courses.
