CTIA found infringements in almost 80% of inspected e-shops

(Prague, November 15, 2019) One of the regular national inspections carried out by the Czech Trade Inspection Authority is the inspection of e-shops. “Inspection results of the third quarter of 2019 proved that consumer legislation, i.e. consumer rights, is still breached in the area of e-commerce,” said the Director General of the Czech Trade Inspection Authority Mojmír Bezecný. Electronic trade via auction and discount portals has become a trend. Violations of law were detected in 146 of the total of 185 inspections, i.e. 78.92% of cases.
