(Prague, 23 November 2022) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority has evaluated inspections focused on toys and battery-operated models. During one year, it inspected a total of 76 products and found deficiencies in 48 cases. 20 products were classified as unsafe due to excessive amounts of lead and 8 products were found to have excessive amounts of cadmium. These unsafe products were reported to the European Commission's information system for the rapid exchange of information on dangerous non-food products "Safety Gate", about which the CTIA informs the consumer public on an ongoing basis at www.coi.cz.
