(Prague, October 6, 2022) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority focused on the compliance with applicable legislation in the area of e-commerce in the second quarter of 2022. In total, it carried out 245 inspections and found violations of legislation in 203 cases, which represented 82.9%. Compared to Q1 2022, there was an increase in violations of legislation among the inspected retailers. The CTIA inspections are by no means a reflection of the market, as CTIA inspections are often targeted specifically at websites on which it receives more consumer submissions and inspectors also return to websites where they have found wrongdoing in the past.
