(Prague, December 8, 2017) The number of presentation sales events decreases. Unfair sellers leave the ordinary face-to-face contact and move to the online environment and also offer products on the phone. This is proven by the increased number of submissions from consumers relating to online and phone offers. In the third quarter 2017, CTIA carried out 16 inspections at presentation sales events and detected violations of laws in only 2 cases which has been the lowest number in the history of inspections. Last year, it carried out 46 inspections in the same period and detected violations of the applicable law in 30 cases. In the third quarter of 2017, in total 12 fines amounting to almost 4 million Czech crowns came into force.
