(Prague, July 1, 2020) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority has long monitored compliance with the Act on Consumer Protection in the field of internet sales. In the first quarter of 2020, infringements were found in 142 of 164 inspections. "The results of the inspection confirmed that there are still a high number of consumer rights infringements in the area of online sales. The situation was about the same in the same period last year. Furthermore, shortcomings persist, in particular, within the required provision of complete information on products and services. Sellers often use unfair business practices," says Mojmír Bezecný, Director of the Czech Trade Inspection Authority.
