(Prague, April 8, 2019) At the beginning of the 2019 summer tourist season, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority publishes the results of inspections of the past year. In 2018, it carried out 1,108 inspections aimed at offering and selling products and providing services that are widely used by consumers in touristic areas, especially during the summer. Breaches of law were found in 449 cases. “The Czech Trade Inspection Authority has been monitoring tourist-interesting and sought-after locations for a long time. In comparison with the results of the inspection carried out in 2017, the total ratio of findings was almost 8 percent higher in 2018. With regard to these results, the inspections will continue in 2019,” said Mojmír Bezecný, Director of the CTIA.
