(Prague, June 12, 2015) When monitoring the market, officers of the Czech Trade Inspection Authority discovered that some shops offer a soldering iron which is not marked properly and fails electric safety standards as proven by expert opinion. Internal connection of conductors is not secured enough against accidental touch by parts of a human body and its user is in danger of injury by electric currant. The product is not equipped with obligatory information in Czech, so consumer is not accordingly warned against risks posed within incorrect use. Distribution of this dangerous soldering iron was prohibited and withdrawal from distribution was ordered.
