(Final report of the period from June 29 to July 7, 2013)
(Prague/Pilsen, July 8, 2013) Inspectors of the Czech Trade Inspection Authority monitored sellers and services providers during the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival and the balance of the inspection results has been embarrassing. The inspectors checked 70 workplaces within 9 days and detected one or more breaches of obligations in 38 cases, i.e. in more than half of them. “Misconducts were detected despite the fact that we didn’t hide the intention to increase the number of CTIA inspectors within inspections carried out during the festival. This has been a very unpleasant sign for me. The entrepreneurs did any good neither for themselves nor for the Czech Republic and I suppose that the Director of the Inspectorate in Pilsen will consider this when imposing fines,” the Director General of the CTIA Vladimír Velčovský said.
