(Brno, April 7, 2016) An extraordinary inspection action was focused on sale, offer and storage of goods infringing certain commercial practices at the Hatě marketplace. Besides the CTIA inspectors, also the members of the Customs Administration as well as representatives of intellectual property rights owners participated in the action. “Based on previous monitoring, the officers inspected 7 stands at the ASIA BAZAR marketplace and collected 310 pieces of counterfeits of various trademarks as well as 48 pieces of dangerous lighters of the unusual type novelty with a very attractive especially for children. Counterfeits whose prices would reach more than CZK 330,000 as calculated in the prices of originals will be destroyed or used for humanitarian purposes according to the law,” said Karel Havlíček, the Director of the CTIA Inspectorate based in Brno.
