CTIA carried out an extraordinary action in Rychlov nad Kněžnou

(Hradec Králové, December 5, 2018) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority of the Hradec Králové Region and Pardubice Region carried out an extraordinary inspection in shops and restaurants in Rychnov nad Kněžnou. Violations of legal regulations were detected in 14 of 26 inspections, most frequently consisting of the failure to comply with the Act on Consumer Protection. Vendors didn’t display correct prices and didn’t comply with the principles of fair sale of products and provision of services.

Outdoor swimming pool operators discriminated consumers

Slightly less anonymous clients in pawnshops in third quarter of 2018

(Prague, November 28, 2018) In the third quarter of 2018, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority saw a significant decrease of the number of anonymous clients in bazaars and pawnshop. In second quarter of 2018, it saw 15 cases of breaches of law that imposes vendors’ obligation to properly identify the client within purchase and sale of goods. CTIA warns against Český mincovní obchod
